Hand-Crafted Starlight Ceilings and Acoustic Fabric Systems
Transform your living space or home cinema into a celestial sanctuary with a bespoke starlight ceiling from Quiet Acoustic. Our systems are meticulously installed on-site, combining high-performance acoustic materials with state-of-the-art fibre optic technology to create an immersive, twinkling night sky.
Every installation is unique, designed to meet the exact architectural nuances of your property while providing a breathtaking aesthetic that transcends standard interior lighting.

Advanced Technical Specifications: Seamless Acoustic Fabric
We utilise industry-leading acoustically transparent fabrics that offer a seamless finish for spans up to 5 metres wide. This eliminates unsightly joins and ensures a perfectly flat, professional appearance.
-
Dolby Atmos Integration: Our acoustic fabrics are engineered to allow sound to pass through unimpeded. This allows for the discreet placement of Dolby Atmos height speakers behind the ceiling fabric, maintaining the aesthetic of your room without compromising on cinematic audio performance.
-
Installation Depth: To ensure the housing of the bespoke fibre optic harness and any integrated audio components, a minimum void of 100mm is required for installation.

Quality Guaranteed
At Quiet Acoustic, we stand by the precision of our craftsmanship and the longevity of our components. Each installation is backed by comprehensive protection for your peace of mind:
-
Ceiling System: 10-year structural and fabric warranty.
-
Fibre Optic Unit: 1-year manufacturer’s warranty on the light engine and electronics.
Quiet Acoustic provides a full-service, on-site installation for bespoke starlight ceilings. To ensure a seamless integration with existing architecture and audio-visual systems, the following technical parameters must be met during the design and site preparation phases.
1. Structural Void and Depth Requirements
To house the high-density fibre optic harness and the digital light engine, a minimum void of 100mm is required between the structural soffit and the finished acoustic fabric.
-
Subframe Construction: Our technicians install a bespoke perimeter framework and secondary support system on-site.
-
Void Access: The 100mm depth ensures adequate clearance for the "twinkle" light engine and allows for the safe routing of fibre optic bundles without exceeding their minimum bend radius.
2. Acoustic Fabric & Seamless Spans
Our premium acoustic fabrics are selected for their durability and aesthetic excellence.
-
Seamless Finish: We specialise in extra-wide spans, allowing for a join-free finish on ceilings up to 5 metres in width.
-
Acoustic Transparency: The fabric is specifically engineered to be acoustically transparent, maintaining the room's NRC (Noise Reduction Coefficient) ratings and preventing high-frequency reflections.
3. Dolby Atmos & Audio Integration
For dedicated cinema rooms, our starlight system is designed to disappear.
-
Speaker Placement: High-performance Dolby Atmos height speakers can be mounted within the 100mm void behind the fabric.
-
Zero Interference: Because the fabric is acoustically transparent, audio clarity remains uncompromised, allowing for a clean, minimalist aesthetic with no visible speaker grilles.
4. Electrical & Light Engine Specifications
-
Power Supply: A standard switched fused spur is required for the light engine.
-
Warranty & Maintenance: The structural ceiling and fabric system carry a 10-year warranty. The electronic fibre optic unit is covered by a 1-year manufacturer’s warranty.
-
Control: Our systems can be integrated into most home automation platforms (Luton, Control4, etc.) for dimming and shimmer-speed control.
5. Showroom Visualisation
We highly recommend that project leads and clients visit our Henlow showroom. Viewing the 100mm profile and the seamless 5m-wide fabric in situ is essential for understanding the tolerances required for a successful installation.
